Arcadia’s response to COVID-19

At Arcadia Group, the health and wellbeing of our residents and staff is our greatest priority.

Arcadia Waters which is part of the Arcadia Group Communities are currently exercising comprehensive measures for visitors, contractors, staff, future residents and residents in response to the current situation of Coronavirus (“COVID-19”) where we will continue to closely monitor the Australian Government’s advice and review on a daily basis.

Our villages now fall under the updated and increased guidelines of having to show proof of vaccination when entering these facilities. It is with these circumstances that we now ask all staff, visitors, contractors, and service providers to be double dose vaccinated against COVID-19.

In addition, we ask that if you meet any of the below criteria to re-schedule your visit to our communities and head office if you:

  • Have recently returned from overseas in the last 14 days
  • Have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive in the last 7 days
  • Are a close contact or have been at a documented high risk exposure location
  • Are experiencing flu-like symptoms (runny nose, fever, cough, shortness of breath, loss of sense of smell, distortion of taste, joint and muscle pain, tiredness, loss of appetite and difficulty breathing)

As well as ensuring appropriate environmental cleaning and sanitising practices across our communities and head office we continue to practise measures which includes:

  • Mandatory wearing of face masks
  • Double dose vaccination required to enter the Clubhouse, Café, Library, Gyms, Craft Rooms and any other internal group spaces
  • Maintaining good hand hygiene
  • Practising physical distancing
  • Visitor and staff QR Code registrations

We advise that all events are conducted in accordance with our community COVIDSafe plans and that we may have to limit the capacity or re-schedule community events, where we will keep event information updated on the Events page found here.

The definition of a Close Contact is:

  • A household member or intimate partner of a person with COVID-19 who has had contact with them during their infectious period
  • Someone who has had close personal interaction with a person with COVID-19 during their infectious period:
    • That have had at least 15 minutes face to face contact where a mask was not worn by the exposed person and the person with COVID-19
    • Greater than two hours within a small room with a case during their infectious period, where masks have been removed for this period by the exposed person and the person with COVID-19 (note: others wearing masks in this scenario would not be a contact)
    • Someone who is directed by WA Health that they are a close contact.
