Early in September 2010, Arcadia Waters management arranged for respected independent retirement planning expert, Nick Bruining, to visit Arcadia Waters Geraldton to present two free seminars entitled 'Exploding the myths of retirement'.

Around 75 people attended each seminar where Nick explained that most people over 55 are terrified by reports about the vast amount of money they will need in retirement and that nothing could be further from the truth. He showed the audience exactly how much they really needed for a comfortable retirement, how the system works and offered 5 key tips designed to make retirees money last much, much longer.

He offered lots of practical advice on taxation and Centrelink benefits and showed that with a few simple changes, people can maximise their income from these and other sources to preserve their savings.
